HI LADIES!!! THE BOUDOIR DIVAS SAN DIEGO (formerly known as WOMAN CAPTURED) is a full-service boudoir studio that has become Southern California's premier boudoir studio in just a few short years. We absolutely adore that our job allows women to do something a little out of their character and gives them the chance to feel like a SUPERMODEL for a day, with a gorgeous photo album as a lifelong token to cherish.
The Boudoir Divas San Diego is a studio made up of six fabulous women, and we absolutely have a blast working together. I had the pleasure of working with Sarah over the past month. We got to spend pretty much the entire day together when she came in for her Full Photo Shoot about three weeks ago . Sarah has faced some recent growth opportunities in her life and I was inspired to get a glimpse of her story. I was honored that she choose our studio to capture some images of her. Well, you can’t really see the purple in the photo, but it’s there. The owner of Mermaid Salon, Kim, did an awesome job. As she always does. I also have to give props to their other fab stylists (I know our clients would agree as so many of them have come to Mermaid before a shoot) Carina, & Mel. I am sure all their stylists are awesome but I have had the pleasure of personally working with these three. I also need to give Jessica, their make-up artist, a major shout out as she too has styled a countless number of our clients including these boudoir photos which have made their way in tons of wedding and photography magazines and photo competitions. Boudoir photography is making it’s way into the mainstream! Yes!
This past weekend, The Boudoir Divas had a booth at the Bridal Bazaar, held at the San Diego Convention Center. Our entire team, all five of us, went and enjoyed meeting so many brides to be! We also held a drawing for a FREE PHOTO SHOOT! And the winner is…… SHANNON S.!! CONGRATULATIONS!!

I just LOVED this shoot with Miss Marquita! You may have already seen her on the blog in the past (I think this was her third shoot with us!) She’s so much fun, and I absolutely loved all of the fun elements she brought with her for the shoot… especially her fab shoes and funky gloves and jewelry! The style came together and here are a few shots of the end result:

I am just nuts about this Chanel Ad. Not only does it have one of my favorite actresses in it, but it has such a hip “boudoir” feel. The same feel that is hitting the runways these days as designers look to the delicate Paris boudoir vibe for inspiration. I love it when you, our clients, bring in lingerie that has this feel to it as well. So classically romantic! – Marissa
If you have had a boudoir shoot with our studio we would absolutely looove it if you took the time to write a reveiw for us on Yelp. This site is so helpful when trying to determine what businesses to put your trust in and we would certainly appreciate it if one of our clients gave us a shout out.
It’s pretty obvious that we are crazy about Valentine’s Day. I think you need to be a true romantic to be a boudoir photographer, and considering all of us girls were obsessed with the Twilight Saga, we qualify for sure. (Well, correction, we are still trying to talk Ashley into reading Twilight. Everyone tell her how much it will change her world!) Not only is Valentine’s Day the sexiest holiday, it’s also the cutest in my book. Remember when we were in 1st grade and you would just hope, hope, hope that the cutie pie who chased you at recess was going to give you a box of chocolates or something? I know I do. Now we have obviously graduated to a more serious V-day gift at this age, sexy pics are not for the faint of heart, but it is still just a sweet in my book. For me Valentine’s Day has always been about going out on a limb and doing something unexpected for your loved one. So…. you want to create a serious spark this Valentine’s Day?? Then boudoir photography is for you. And let’s face it, you haven’t had the real boudoir experience if you haven’t had THE SUPERMODEL EXPERIENCE with THE BOUDOIR DIVAS!
