If you were to hang out here in our offices and observe the daily happenings, here’s one random thing you might notice: we have a lot of nicknames. :) To make things easy, we’ve always used our first initials… so you’ll often see us refer to each other on Twitter or here on the blog by saying “A” – “D” – “M” – “C” – or “K”. And then there are the more random nicknames. For example, here are just a few of my nicknames through the years: Kimee (of course), K-dog, K-frog/K-froggie, KW, KDub, Kimee-cat… and then there’s my MOST recent nickname: “Cadbury.” Wondering how I got that one? Well, that one was actually given to me by a Parisian gal we met while sitting at a cafe. We were all sitting at this place in the St Germain district, and one friendly gal just walked up to our table and started chatting with us. We all introduced ourselves, and she had a fun association with everyone’s names… when Ashley introduced herself, this gal said: “Oh, like Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen!”… to Marissa she said “Oh, like from the OC”… and then as she was leaving, she went around the table and said, “Goodbye Weston, Marissa, Ashley, and Cadbury.” As she was walking away, we all looked at each other and started cracking up. Apparently “Kimberlee” sounded a lot like “Cadbury.” Funny thing is, Cadbury eggs used to be my favorite candy when I was a kid! Haha! So, the nickname has stuck, and around here, it wouldn’t be abnormal if you overheard someone say ‘Hey, Cadbury!’ So feel free to call me Cadbury the next time you see me. ;) Happy Wednesday, everyone! PS… We honestly can’t BELIEVE that we still haven’t posted pics from Paris. There are just SO many photos, & it’s such a huge project, that it just keeps getting pushed back (especially w/ all of our shoots, workshops, big projects, and speaking programs that we’ve got going on… the to-do lists just keep growing!) But in the meantime, here are a few random ones from one of our sight-seeing days in Paris:

So I was waiting to blog about it until I saw Crystal talk about it on Facebook. Because as we all know, once it’s on Facebook it’s officially world-wide public knowledge. She said this the other night on the FB, “felt baby kick/move last night while my hand was right next to him/her on my tummy…cannot stop thinking about it & smiling. Overjoyed.” We are too Crystal. We know that this baby will be beyond blessed with love and the true gift of having parents who love Him, our Lord. We love you and are so proud of you.

FYI: As I am sure you all know Crystal is our fabulous studio manager and photographer. She is probably the best studio manager on the planet. What in the heck are we going to do with ourselves without her???

Ps. Congrats to Mr. Carr as well. We didn’t forget you Brian ;)

Boudoir lingerie inspiration

Here’s a little video of the 4 photographers here at the Boudoir Divas SD, talking about a few of our favorite outfits – we hope to help our clients feel completely prepared for their photo shoot, and we want you to know that we will definitely help you choose your outfits when you come in for your shoot. So bring in a few of your fave outfits… or feel free to look through our closet and try on a few of the outfits that we have available for you… and above all, HAVE FUN with the styling of your boudoir shoot! :)

Behind the scenes at a Boudoir Divas Pin-Up Party!

Considering a Pin-up Party at our San Diego studio? Not exactly sure what goes on behind the scenes? Well here is a short little video of all that we do in our office while you lovely ladies are getting glammed up in our studio!

The Boudoir Divas’ Pin-Up Parties consist of 5-10 girls who come into our studio and each get a mini-shoot with one or two productions. This is the new rage for birthday parties, bachelorette parties or just a girls day out! Who wouldn’t want to spend a full day with your girlfriends getting beautified, drinking champagne, watching girlie movies and feeling like a Supermodel for a Day? Since multiple girls come in all in one day we are able to offer the lowest pricing for these productions with one set at ONLY $99! You also get to view all your photos the same day :)

Was going through some old photos, and I came across this shot of the 4 of us gals from back in 2007. I think this is the first ’staff photo’ we ever took! I just love all of these women; I feel truly blessed to have known each of them for the past few years, and to be able to work alongside of them every day. We have the greatest job ever. :)

As many of you know (and for those who don’t), in addition to shooting boudoir in our awesome San Diego Studio, The Boudoir Divas, specifically Marissa and Kimberlee, attend conventions and speak at many of them, educating other photographers on boudoir photography. We are so excited to be speaking at Imaging USA, which is in Nashville this coming January! And when the new Professional Photographer Magazine came out and we saw it had a feature on us, we were even more stoked!

So we are packin’ our cowboy boots and heading to Tennessee…yeehaw! :)
