Thank you to ALL of the wonderful women who came out to our Boudoir-Burlesque Open House! Wow, what an event! We were blown away by the number of ladies who RSVP’ed (over 180!!!)… and it was so much fun to meet many of you, and introduce you all to the wonderful world of the Boudoir Divas. :) We also had nine beautiful women sign up to get their boudoir shoot with us, so thank you to you ladies specifically; we can’t wait to have you back into the studio for your shoot!

This was such a fun evening! We had a couple of demo boudoir shoots, so that everyone could see a little glimpse of what they might be able to expect from their boudoir shoot with us. Deena & Crystal, fab diva photographers, showed us how they work to get some amazing photographs – and here are just a few of their shots:



The ladies in the photographs above ALSO gave everyone a really fun show (it was SO cool!) These are the Lala’s – LA’s hottest burlesque group, and we were thrilled that they came to our Open House! Donna & Camille gave us some really fun performances; we just loved having them here. (Thanks, Lalas!)


We also have to give a shout-out to Unique Excellence & Blush … two amazing companies that were represented at the Open House. Thank you for being a part of our evening, Jessica, Peggy, and Christa. We loved having you at the Open House, and hope you’ll come represent at our next one. :) You all ROCK!

The night also wouldn’t have been complete without our raffle! Change is in the air around here. We have had such an awesome team and we know that it is the people that we select that make our fabulous Diva experience fabulous! Recently we had to say a very sad goodbye to Danielle, who Dad’s health (please say a prayer for him although he is in recovery now) had her jumping to her family’s aid in a time of need. In the same couple of weeks we said bye bye to Ashley as she left to work at Barona (she went to school for hotel management so it makes sense). That left Deena, Crystal, Kimee and I (Weston helped with a lot too) with a lot on our hands and on a mission to find the perfect peeps to fill these wonderful ladies shoes. It was a hard task but with the help of our network of amazing friends, and tons of resumes to sift through we found the gals!

Next week we will introduce the new Boss Lady in charge of running the whole place, you may know her, then we also found our new Princess of Production, we hired a perfect fit for Photographer and Customer Service, then we even added another Photographer and Make-up Artist. Whew!!! We were busy and we love what we ended up with. We will make their big debut on the blog and site next week.

We have been chosen to photograph the San Diego famous…..Ashlee and Skye from the Rock 105.3′s “The Show!!!” We are so excited to show off their military inspired pin-up calendar in the coming weeks but for now we will kick things off with this fun behind the scenes teaser. Ashley (our Ash)  and I had so much fun photographing them. I think a Hummer and fake ammunition will make any shoot one to remember. Then add two hilarious ladies and sets and outfits that would make any photographers day and you have the hottest pin-up calendar San Diego has ever seen.

We have been so grateful for all the love they are giving us on air as well. And SD ladies must trust these girls faving reviews of us because the phones are ringing off the hook!  Thank you so much Skye and Ashlee!!!

Wow, this has been a CRAZY week (to say the least)!!! We’ve been on Channel 933 all week (where you can win a photo shoot by calling in Frankie & Geena), yesterday we were on CW’s San Diego Living Show… Today we were on KUSI news… and an article just posted on Thrillist.com, all about our studio! Later today, we’re filming a segment for San Diego Wedding Scene. And the fun doesn’t end there, folks. Tomorrow we’ll be on the Mikey Show on 949 (listen after 9am if you wanna hear us)!

If you don’t know who Tenley Molzahn is – where have you been?! :) Just kidding… I have to admit that I was somewhat starstruck when we met her on the red carpet at Kim Kardashian’s watch launch party last month. Yes, The Bachelor is one of my guilty pleasure shows (I can’t help myself!) :) I watched the whole season that Tenley was on (she had her heart broken by Jake in the final episode). I think it’s safe to say that Tenley became ‘America’s sweetheart’ on that season of the Bachelor, and since then, she’s also found love with Kiptyn – and we are so happy for them! (Aren’t they such a cute couple?!) Anyway… it was so great meeting Tenley, and we told her that she needed to come into the studio for a boudoir shoot. She wanted to do something a little more conservative, which of course is totally ok with us! We had an absolute blast with her, and she rocked her shoot. Although we already think “every woman should pose nude”, we found this article and think it was worth sharing to support our theory. :) Crushable.com posted this article and we highly recommend you talking 5 minutes to read it. If you have ever thought about doing a photo shoot, but just not sure if you are ready, take a look. Here is an excerpt from the article written by Kat Rosenfield:

“As an artist’s and photographer’s model, I’ve spent substantial portions of my early-to-mid twenties standing around in front of strangers with no clothes on. And while it might be initially nerve-wracking, it’s also one of the most interesting and worthwhile experiences I’ve ever had — so worthwhile that I firmly believe it belongs on the bucket list for any young woman, no matter what her shape, size, or level of confidence with her own naked body. Why should you take a photo or two in your birthday suit?

* Your body is beautiful. Really, it is. And it doesn’t matter whether you’re plump or slender, reedy or Rubenesque; your whole self — top to toe — deserves its day in the spotlight. Women put in huge amounts of effort each day just to meet society’s standard of beauty, only to get bogged down by stress and insecurity over failing to fit within that narrowly-defined (and often unhealthy) ideal. Stripping down and showing it off is a celebratory, powerful, even subversive act — and it’s exhilarating. And when you see those photos in the days, months and years that follow, it’ll be with a lasting appreciation for your body as the glorious, gorgeous machine it is.

Your “just for me” weekly manicure only lasts as long as it takes your nail polish to chip, but a private album of drawings or photos that show you at your prime — young, healthy, and before childbirth, gravity, and the vagaries of time have taken their toll — is a memory you’ll have forever. (Not to mention a great conversation-starter when someone pulls it off your bookshelf in 2072 and says, “Grandma! Was that YOU?”
