Here at the Boudoir Divas, we love getting the chance to work with past clients! That’s why we were stoked to have Christa back in the studio for an impromptu editorial shoot. Christa is fun, outgoing and as you can see in our photos below, a total Betty! You can learn some of Christa’s beauty tricks and tips on her youtube channel. And speaking of beauty tricks, the hair and make-up for this shoot was styled by our fabulous Peggy Rogers.
While we can’t reveal exactly why we scheduled such a spontaneous shoot (it’s a surprise we hope to share with everyone in the future), we’d love to share with you some of the smokin’ hot snaps we captured!
Side note: If you’re wondering who the two hotties in the trashbag couture are, that’s Lindsey (our production princess) and me, Sarah (photographer and newly established Blogette) The ladder we incorp-ed into the shoot was originally a not-so-sexy jumpsuit orange, so Linds and I were given the task of spray painting it a more appropriate black and gold. It may or may not have still been a little wet when we started shooting. Thanks for hanging in there Christa! ;)

I’m really excited to share this with you! A fabulous past client named Mary wrote me recently and let me know that she wanted to share about her experience with our studio. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to read what she thought about the experience – especially since Mary is a photographer herself (with White Peach Photo!) Ummm… ok. How BEAUTIFUL is this woman?! I am so thrilled that she is allowing us to share her images with you on our blog. She is very stunning – and don’t you just love how her eyes ‘pop’?! I also love the variety of this session. Combining these 3 different sets, some stunningly-gorgeous outfits, & all of our different lighting set-ups and poses… the result is just beautiful – and with so much variety, that these images would look amazing in our Bombshell book or Italian leather album. As you may know, we have a couple of our favorite boudoir sets listed on our website – however, there are SO many more that aren’t listed. We have a total of 18 boudoir sets for our clients to choose from – so it’s up to YOU to design your perfect boudoir photo shoot. Do you want your session to be super-sexy & “bomshell-esque”, or more fun, flirty, and cute? (OR… both!) This shoot starts out with a more sexy vibe, on our Fashion Loft set. I love how the light makes her eyes stand out in these images.
Then the next set is a bit more fun and flirty – with the bright colors (and fun skirt!), there is a completely different vibe with these images.
Then this session ends with our most popular set! This one is one of our favorites, too – it’s a beautiful, classy vintage bed set. This is definitely a ‘must-do’ set if you are planning your shoot with us. And on that note – I can’t end this post without letting you know that we highly recommend booking at LEAST 2 sets for your boudoir shoot with us. If you think you just want one… believe me, you will wish you did more! It is such a fun experience, and if you’re going to get all dolled-up and have this experience, why not go all-out?! Our motto here is: ‘go big or go home.’ :) You will not regret adding a few more sets to your shoot. We also have to share the exciting news that our amazing Peggy is going to be joining us at our boudoir workshop in PARIS, FRANCE next week! We couldn’t be happier that she has agreed to travel with us to do the hair & makeup during our workshops, PLUS she’s going to be one of our models as well! We are so excited to have this experience with Peggy. The lovely Miss Deena (our studio manager) is also going to be traveling with us to Paris. We can’t wait to take over Paris with our Diva Team! We’ll post more about that later. But in the meantime, the rest of our amazing team will be holding down the fort here at the San Diego studio. (Thanks, ladies… we will miss you!) A few weeks ago, I (Kimberlee) posted a ‘model call’ here on the blog, asking for past clients to email me if they would be interested in sharing their story with the world. The response I received was absolutely overwhelming! We had SO many amazing clients respond saying that they wanted to come in to share about their experience… I was absolutely blown away. (In fact, we had so many women respond, that there just wasn’t enough time to actually film everyone!) Over a span of one week, I had each of these women come back into the studio, and sat down to chat with them about their experience with our studio. Each story was unique. Each woman was unique. I think it was one of the best experiences for ME, to sit with each client and hear them explain why they did this shoot, what they thought about it, and how it changed them. It was amazing. I have SO many great videos to show you, but for now, I want to share this one from a beautiful, amazing, courageous woman named Susan.
Thank you, Susan, for your willingness to share, and be so open and vulnerable. I know that your story will inspire countless women to be courageous, and to take the opportunity to realize how beautiful they are.
