We’re SUPER excited to share that we were nominated/voted as “Best San Diego Wedding Vendor for Boudoir Photography” in the annual Bridal Insider People’s Choice Awards! The people (aka: YOU!) have spoken and we now hold the title of 1st Place Winners! We were also voted as Best Boudoir Photography Studio in the 2009 People Choice Awards, so we are stoked to hang onto the title for a second year!

According to Bridal Insider, “The People’s Choice Awards are the highest recognition given to a wedding vendor because they are chosen by a vote of the local brides and grooms that have used your services. This year, we had an amazing turnout with over 2,500 votes from Brides & Grooms.”

Boudoir Divas Pin Up Parties are SO FUN!

Our whole staff has sooo much fun each time we hold a Pin Up Party at our studio. All of the girls attending have so much positive energy that it feels like it projects onto us! The ladies are all dolled up with hair, make-up, heels, and sexy outfits, and are having a great time with their friends. My favorite part of the day is when I hear the group watching a slideshow of images from one of the girls’ photo shoot. You can hear anything from squeals of excitement to “oohs and ahhs” or “you look HOT!” and “you look beautiful!” I smile every time. The Pin Up Party we held about two weeks ago was no exception to this. The ladies were gorgeous and super sweet. The hostess sent me a little thank you email the next day and I wanted to share it along with a couple of group photos… xoxo, Crystal

Just wanted to thank you and your staff so much for the whole experience at our pin up party this past weekend (6/26/10). You ladies really made us feel comfortable and beautiful. ::TheKnot.com:: A Great Resource for Brides

When I started planning my wedding about 3 years ago, the first website I visited was www.theknot.com. I found myself on the website late at night searching for all things wedding-related. Throughout the months of planning, I browsed through gallery after gallery of wedding hair styles, shoes, and more. The Knot has a stellar reputation among Brides-to-be, and girls are more than happy to tell their friends about it. That’s how I heard about The Knot. We just wanted to share some love with The Knot today :). If by some chance any of you soon-to-be-Mrs. haven’t checked out their website, we encourage you to!

Sexy Shower Set

If anything was going to add spark to a marriage it would be these photos! Wow. Apparently wet hair really takes an image to SUPER sexy fast! Kimberlee photographed this beautiful young lady and she wanted to get her hair wet for her last shots, which I think was a really great idea. In fact when we moved into this fab studio we found a shower of all things…. which really got our minds churning. Hmmmm…. if any studio could shoot a shower set while still keeping it beautiful/classy it would be us right?! Here is the only dilemma, as of now the hot water heater isn’t working and we may possibly be using the shower for storage, so I’m thinking we will continue to just wet your hair unless we get enough of you asking for the shower set and then we just might have to invest in that heater. Leave your requests below… we aim to please around here :) – So are you daring enough to do this look below when you come in? – M

Behind the scenes at a Boudoir Divas Pin-Up Party!

Considering a Pin-up Party at our San Diego studio? Not exactly sure what goes on behind the scenes? Well here is a short little video of all that we do in our office while you lovely ladies are getting glammed up in our studio!

The Boudoir Divas’ Pin-Up Parties consist of 5-10 girls who come into our studio and each get a mini-shoot with one or two productions. This is the new rage for birthday parties, bachelorette parties or just a girls day out! Who wouldn’t want to spend a full day with your girlfriends getting beautified, drinking champagne, watching girlie movies and feeling like a Supermodel for a Day? Since multiple girls come in all in one day we are able to offer the lowest pricing for these productions with one set at ONLY $99! You also get to view all your photos the same day :)

Sexy ‘Skin It’!

I just HAD to share this with all of you! I recently came across an awesome Google review written by one of our fabulous clients, Christa, about her experience at our studio. I literally laughed out loud when reading Christa’s genuine, and plain funny review…

I set-up a Pin Up Girl party for a bunch of co-workers and we had an absolute blast! All ages! All body types! Every single lady walked out of there with a confidence boost after previewing their pictures. I am talking about women here. We never like a picture of our face, much less our scantily clad body! When we got the hard copy albums, everyone was so proud of their hotness that they brought them to work and showed anyone who asked! So many perks for the host! Crystal is amazing! I know that it’s their job, but they actually make you feel like you missed your calling to be a model. Every girl should do this at least once. I am planning on going back once a year. My husband loved the pictures and has them all over his locker at work and even made a “skin” for his phone. When people comment on it and he tells them, “that’s my wife”….they call him a liar. He LOVES that and so do I. Check my profile pic. Enough said. Crystal shot it. I had pics taken a few years ago at another studio BEFORE I had a baby and had a perfectly toned stomach. Those pics actually are repulsive to me, now that I have these. Thank you Boudoir Divas!!!!

By the way, I was hesitant to blog that review because she mentions me a couple times, and I didn’t want it to seem like I’m all, “Hey everyone, I’m great!” Ha ha, BUT, the point is I had never thought of the idea of making a phone “skin” out of the photos! I asked Christa to email me a couple pics of her hubby’s phone cuz I was dying to see! Check it out!

Awesome, right?! Anyone else think so??

P.S. I figured some of you reading this may wonder about how to acquire the digital images from your photo shoot with us. Some of our packages DO include a disk of images or you can purchase a disk “a la carte.” Along with your disk, we will give you a permission form that allows to make reprints for personal use :). A phone skinit on your husband’s phone is completely considered personal use ;)!

You’ve heard us say one million times that Pin-Up parties rock, so we will spare you the babbling. But I will mention one more time that the Pin-Up Party is really the only way we can do “mini sessions.” Maybe some of you want to do a boudoir photo shoot but just can’t afford it right now OR maybe you aren’t ready to go for the full supermodel experience and just want to try it out first? Then a Pin-up Party is perfect!

The Pin up Party is a mini boudoir session for eash of the attendees. Perfect for bachelorette parties and b-day parties, or simply a San Diego girls day out. Every gal deserves a solid day of pampering every now and then right? We know that all of you brides out there make serious friends on the bridal forums like Bridal Insider or The Knot and we want to give you a chance to unite and organize and take advantage of the fabulousness of a pin-up party here at The Boudoir Divas.

So….. what are we asking of you to be “the chosen one” and hostess the event? First we need you to post this in Bridal Insider and ask your bride peeps to comment if they are interested or think you would be killer for the job. Once you have 10 comments shoot us an email so we can verify. You aren’t asking gals to confirm to attend the event, just to vote for you as hostess. Pin-Up Parties! Pampering fun for a group of girls!

Pin-Up parties, or boudoir parties, are seriously the most fun a group of girls can have in San Diego. Out with a day at the spa and in with a fun and exciting pin-up party! Perfect for a bachelorette party in San Diego or just a much needed day of fun.

Here is how it works, first we need a hostess. This is any gal who volunteers to send out the invites, bring snacks and refreshments and get her girls together and organized. The pin-up party hostess earns herself a free “Pin-Up Party Package 1″ which includes 1 set/1 outfit, all boudoir photos are purcahsed “a la carte.” The hostess must bring at least 4 of her girlfriends. Then one by one we take girls back to the studio for their boudoir shoot. Hair and make-up is available at a separate fee. If you would like more info please email us at info@boucherphotography.com
